Prairie Icons

It's easy to lose the memories of history when they are no longer a visual aspect of our lives. 

One person who has amassed a collection of elevator pictures over the years is Judy Dahl. In her article, The Last Elevator in Cayley, she showcases some prairie icons that are long since gone. ​

"In the late 70’s and again in the 80’s  I traveled to Southern Alberta towns that still had standing elevators with one purpose in mind. I wanted to get as many photos of these vanishing landmarks on film as I could."
